A Date at the Candy Shop
Yesterday I went on a date with my boys. It was one of those pre-planned events that is very much anticipated. When they heard the words Candy Shop, (which was actually more like a dessert shop, which makes it even more delicious), they told me that we’d be going and that I’d be joining them. How could I turn down such an earnest offer?
We don’t do special treats like this often, so it made the visit all the more special. My two little ones perfected the kid in a candy shop roles as they excitedly looked at every option that was available. And I might have drooled over a few choices as well.
After we had purchased our delectable of choice, we made our way down to the park and basked in the November sunshine. I think these little moments like family dates do a lot to carve out memories for my little ones.
If nothing else, I certainly feasted well!

Yum. It looks like you had a great time!
Our household is the same way… treats on special occasions only. This would be something my children would love!
Yes, they’re still talking about it… (And I’m trying to hide the leftover cotton candy!)
